Deadline Approaching for Required Immunizations!

Sept. 23, is the 30th day of school for traditional students who began the school year on Aug. 25. Effective Sept. 24, students in Kindergarten, 7th grade, 12th grade, and those attending a North Carolina public school for the first time will NOT be allowed to attend school if they have not submitted an updated immunization record and/or a completed health assessment. These students must remain out of school until the required documentation is provided, per state law.

✅ Who needs updated immunization records?

• Kindergartners

• 7th graders

• 12th graders

• Students attending an NC public school for the first time

(This includes students enrolled in Wilson Academy of Virtual Education)

*COVID-19 vaccines are NOT part of the required immunizations.
 

📋 Who needs a health assessment?:

• For all Kindergartners and first-time NC public school students

• Must be completed by a medical provider

• Accepted if dated within one year before the first day of school
